In Memory of Jackie, my brother (John N. Hoy III)
He passed away this past May 7th, 2016 of a massive stroke. He was only 67 years old.
He worked this marina with his parents from the beginning. He was always there to help
Mom & Dad and later myself with the passing of our parents. He is missed every day here.
He was born in Morehead City, North Carolina. He enjoyed his fishing, his guns, going to the Saugerties Gun Club on a regular basis, being a Volunteer Fireman with the Connelly Fire Department & Malden West Fire Department.
Jackie's son, Matthew was presented with a 30 year plaque for service with the Fire Department.
He loved to watch the Nascar races on Sunday. He loved going to the Diner in Saugerties for breakfast or dinner. He would sit & talk with his friends, gather all the local gossip & come to the marina & repeat it. For being mentally challenged, Jackie had an excellent memory. He used to amaze us with what he would repeat, weather his understood it or not.
Jackie is survived by his 2 two, Matthew of West Camp & Jonathan of Florida.
He had 2 brothers, William of Port Ewen, Richard of Mt. Tremper, 4 Sisters, Sharon of Port Ewen, Susan of Staatsburg, Kathy of Mt. Marion & Gloria of Esopus.
Not a day goes by that we do not think of Jackie!
Rest in Peace, You were loved & still loved!
